Our current shop is a few shelves in the corner of our kitchen area. It brings in an annual income of over £1,300, and it is a great place to get special books and Buddhist items such as statues and malas. However, it is only accessible to those who are visiting for centre activities.
A café would offer a number of advantages. It would attract a wider range of people and get us more widely known. It would give us the opportunity of having a shop more accessible. It would also give us the option of being open to the public all day. A café could provide a small, regular income, and also provide more access to the shop.
